UNC Charlotte students automatically have access to the CATS All-Access Pass, offering unlimited rides on all Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) buses, streetcars, the airport sprinter and the LYNX Blue Line.
Failure to show an active pass to a light rail fare inspector can result in a citation.
Currently-enrolled UNC Charlotte students automatically receive the CATS All-Access Transit Pass if they have paid the Miscellaneous Transportation Service Charge (MTSC).
Students who have not paid the MTSC, (e.g. distance-learning or co-op program students) who want a discounted semester pass may pay $25 through MyPark. Check Banner for information regarding your fees.
Non-students can pay $50 per semester or $75 for an annual pass through MyPark. This includes Faculty, Staff, Temporary Employees, Faculty Emeritus, Business Affiliates and Campus Partners.
Contact Ali Mateen at 704-687-7993 or amateen@charlotte.edu to obtain a pass.
The UNC Charlotte All-Access Pass is unavailable to family members, alumni or retirees (other than faculty emeriti).
Single light rail tickets can be purchased through the CATS-Pass app or at ticket vending machines located at train stations.
Bus passes are available on weekdays at pass sale locations, including the J.W. Clay/UNC Charlotte Station.
