Lime scoots to UNC Charlotte

The world’s largest electric vehicle-sharing company is now serving Charlotte!

Lime is now on campus, providing short-term rentals for e-scooters and e-bikes, making it that much easier to get to class. Using Lime is easy. Simply download the Lime app to reserve a scooter or bike, then scan the QR code on the vehicle to activate your ride.

UNC Charlotte users can ride with Lime at a discounted rate; just make sure to log in with your @charlotte.edu email address and use Lime devices within designated campus areas. See pricing, hub locations and more on the e-scooters and bikes page.

Going Lime green

Using Lime scooters and bikes isn’t just convenient, it can be good for the environment too!

Parking and Transportation Services is always looking to partner with vendors that can provide alternative transit options on campus, whether it’s bike sharing, Niner Transit buses or CATS light rail. These services work together to reduce the use of personal vehicles on campus, fostering community, reducing emissions and contributing to the health of our students, staff and faculty.

Associate Vice Chancellor of Business Services, Doug Lape, said in regard to the launch, “In a continued effort to provide the campus community with alternative transportation options, we’re excited to introduce Lime e-scooters and e-bikes to UNC Charlotte! Lime’s proven expertise and their current involvement throughout the city of Charlotte make them a good fit for campus mobility device services.”
