Parking permits are now on sale!

2024-25 annual parking permits are now on sale. You may purchase your permit on MyPark. Permits are valid from the date of purchase.

NEW: CATS-Pass app
If you have paid the Miscellaneous Transportation Service Charge, you are eligible for the CATS All-Access Pass. To use the pass, you must download the CATS-Pass app for fare inspection. The 49er ID is no longer accepted as a valid credential for riding light rail or CATS buses.

Alternatives to purchasing an annual permit:

  • Daily permits are available for $8 per day. Daily permits are not valid for The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking. Parking packs are available in quantities of 10 and 30 at a reduced rate.
  • CATS All-Access Transit Pass: Students who have paid the Miscellaneous Transportation Service Charge may ride LYNX light rail and CATS buses (including express routes and the Airport Sprinter) fare-free. Faculty and staff may purchase annual passes for $75. Visit the CATS-Pass app page or watch the CATS-Pass app video for more information.
  • Semester permits: Students who are not bringing a car to campus in the spring may purchase a fall semester permit.
  • Discount permits: Discounted permits for Lot 6/6A, Lot 27 and North Deck are available for commuters in limited quantities.

The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking

Students enrolled in classes at the Center City Building will automatically receive parking permission for Center City upon purchasing a Standard or Night permit. No additional action is required for permit purchase. If you are not enrolled in classes at the Center City Building, you are not permitted to park there.

Faculty and staff conducting business at Center City must select Center City Building parking privileges at the time of purchase. Daily permits are not valid for The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking.

Payment options:

  • One-time credit card payment. Pay with your credit card in one easy payment.
  • Credit Card on File: Students can pay for their permit in monthly payments. The first payment will include a non-refundable $20 fee. The first transaction will be processed immediately, and all subsequent payments will be processed on the first of the month. The permit is active upon the first payment.
  • Payroll Deduction: Faculty and staff may enroll in payroll deduction, the first deduction taken from your paycheck will be twice your standard payroll deduction amount.
  • Pay in the PaTS office (directions) with your 49er Account, cash or check.
