ParkMobile SMS Phishing Attempt Alert

Categories: Parking

ParkMobile is warning customers about a scam where fraudulent SMS messages are requesting payment for unpaid parking sessions and/or parking citations.

“The SMS message appears to come from ParkMobile and includes instructions to click a link and pay the phony balance online. This is a fraudulent message and is NOT from ParkMobile – do not proceed.”

Their alert states “We urge all our customers to stay vigilant. If something feels wrong – always check the sender and log in to the app to verify your payment details. Our cybersecurity team and law enforcement are working with authorities to take down the fraudulent webpage and identify those responsible.”

On campus, visitors can use ParkMobile to pay for parking in many lots across campus. For information about getting started with ParkMobile or which lots use ParkMobile, visit our ParkMobile page.
