- Credit card on file transactions will be processed in monthly equal payments, rather than three transactions. The first payment will continue to include a $20 processing fee.
- If License Plate Recognition (LPR) fails to raise a gate at a parking deck or lot entry, your 49er Mobile ID, 49er Card and Apple Watch can serve as a backup credential.
Alternatives to purchasing an annual permit:
- Daily permits are available for $8 per day. Daily permits are not valid for parking at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building.
- CATS All-Access Transit Pass: Faculty and staff may purchase annual passes for $75 and will be able to show their pass by downloading the CATS-Pass App. Students who have paid the Miscellaneous Transportation Service Charge along with their tuition may ride LYNX light rail and CATS buses (including express routes and the Airport Sprinter) fare-free by downloading the CATS-Pass App.
- Semester permits: Students may purchase a fall permit if they are not bringing a car to campus in the spring.

The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking
Faculty and staff conducting business at Center City must select Center City Building parking privileges at the time of purchase.
Students enrolled in classes at Center City Building will automatically have permissions to park at Center City and do not need to take action when purchasing their permit. If a student is not enrolled in classes at Center City Building, they do not have permission to park.
Payment options:
- One-time credit card payment. Pay with your credit card in one easy payment.
- Credit Card on File: Pay for your permit in monthly payments. The first payment will include a non-refundable $20 fee. The first payment will process when submitting transaction, and all subsequent payments will process on the first of the month. Your permit is active upon the first payment.
- Payroll Deduction: Once you enroll in payroll deduction, the first deduction taken from your paycheck will be twice your standard payroll deduction amount.
- Pay in the PaTS office with your 49er Account, cash or check.
