Disability Paratransit
Niner Paratransit provides on-campus transportation service to students, employees and visitors with long-term or short-term mobility impairments.
Hours and Locations
Niner Paratransit services are available 7 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday.
There are more than 50 pickup and drop-off hubs in convenient locations across campus. Services are not currently available for Center City. View the Paratransit hubs and accessible entrances map or find a location from the list below.

Scheduled Service
Scheduled services take priority over on-demand services. Schedule your pickup at least 24 hours in advance by submitting a schedule request form or calling Paratransit Dispatch.
On-Demand Service
Need a ride outside of your schedule? To request on-demand service, call Paratransit Dispatch and provide your name and pickup / drop-off locations. On-demand requests are subject to driver availability.
Temporary and Visitor Service
Niner Paratransit is available for individuals with short-term mobility impairments, such as those with recent injury or illness, and for those visiting campus on a temporary basis.
Request short-term service following the same steps as you would to request long-term Paratransit service:
- Contact the PaTS office.
- Register with the Disability Office.
- Request scheduled or on-demand pickup.
To ensure timely access to service, requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Call Paratransit Dispatch to cancel scheduled pickups if you no longer need service.
Policies
- Paratransit is not for medical transport. If an individual needs emergency transport to the Student Health Center, call 911.
- Passengers must be able to get into and out of the vehicle on their own, unless accompanied by a Personal Care Attendant.
- Students must comply with the Campus Student Conduct Policies. Any unprofessional behavior will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct.
Missing Scheduled Pickups
PaTS strives to provide consistent and timely Paratransit service to as many registered riders as possible. To help us achieve this goal, the following rules apply to scheduled service pickups:
- If you know you will not make a scheduled pickup time, call the Paratransit Dispatch at (704)-687-5636. Failure to do so will count as a missed pickup time.
- Drivers will wait only five minutes after the scheduled pickup time. If a passenger misses their pickup, they will be moved to a call-in basis.
- Three missed pickups may result in canceled schedules.
