Spring Permits

Parking permits for spring 2025 will go on sale on Jan. 1, 2025, at midnight (12:01 a.m.). Permits are valid from the date of purchase until Aug. 14, 2025.

Standard parking permits do not sell out, but discount options sell quickly.

Faculty and staff

If you prefer not to buy a standard parking permit, the following options are available:

  • Daily permits: Single-day permits are available for $8 per day.
  • Permit Packs: Daily permits are available for a reduced rate in quantities of 10 and 30 for those who park on campus infrequently. Parking Packs are not valid for The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking.
  • CATS All-Access Transit Passes are available for $50 and include unlimited fare-free rides on LYNX light rail and CATS buses (including express routes and the Airport Sprinter) with your 49er ID.  
  • Discount Permits for Lot 6A and Lot 27 are available in limited quantities. 

NEW: The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking

Beginning this semester, PaTS is offering a Center City Building-Only parking permit for those who do not need to travel to the main campus. This permit is only valid for parking at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City.

If you conduct business at Center City and still need to park on the main campus, you must select Center City Building parking privileges when purchasing an annual permit.  

Payment options

  • One-time credit card payment
  • Payroll Deduction: Once you enroll in payroll deduction, the first deduction taken from your paycheck will be twice your standard payroll deduction amount.
  • Pay in the PaTS office with your 49er Account, cash or check.

Students

  • Daily permits: Single-day permits are available for $8 per day.
  • Permit Packs: For those who park on campus infrequently, daily permits are available for a reduced rate in quantities of 10 and 30.
  • CATS All-Access Transit Pass: Students who have paid the Transportation Misc. Service Charge may ride LYNX light rail and CATS buses (including express routes and the Airport Sprinter) fare-free with the CATS-Pass app.
  • Discount Permits: Discounted permits for Lot 6A, Lot 27 and North Deck are available in limited quantities. 

NEW: The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City Building parking

Beginning this semester, PaTS is offering a Center City Building-Only parking permit for those who do not need to travel to the main campus. This permit is only valid for parking at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City.

Students enrolled in classes at the Center City Building will automatically have permission to park there and do not need to take action when purchasing a standard permit. Discount permits and daily permits do not have Center City parking permissions.

Payment options

  • One-time credit card payment
  • Credit Card on File: Pay for your permit in equal monthly payments. The first payment will include a non-refundable $20 fee. Permit is active upon the first payment.
  • Pay in the PaTS office with your 49er Account, cash or check.
